Returning to the heavy door, you reach out and turn the key within the rusty keyhole.
Just before you do, you think you hear movement on the otherside of the door.
Do you wait and listen or do you go ahead and unlock the door?
[[Put your ear up to the door and listen carefully]]
[[Open the door anyway]]A dirty tablecloth covers the table.
There is also a what seems to be a scrap piece of metal on the table.
[[Pick up the metal scrap]]
[[Look under the table]]
The window is too grimey to properly see outside.
You think you make out the figure of a man in the distance;
[[Return to table]]After scanning around beneath the table, you notice something metallic laying there.
[[Pick it up]]In your desperation you step on a sqeaky floorboard and draw his attention.
The man draws near, holding a rusty hatchet in his hand.
Either you can rush and try climb out or take a leap of faith and jump through the window and hope for the best.
What will you do?
[[Scramble to get through the window quickly]]
[[Run and jump through the window]]
Before you is an old, heavy-looking wooden door.
You try the door handle to no avail.
Maybe there's a key somewhere.
[[Look at table.]]Upon opening the door, a large figure stands before you at the end of the hallway.
on your right is an open window, one you think you can fit through
It doesn't look like he's noticed you yet.
[[Make a run for the window]]
[[Sneak over to the window]]Picking up and inspecting the object, it looks like some sort of key.
Maybe this will fit the door?
[[Go to the door]]
[[Put down the key]]Picking up the metal and inspecting it, you don't think it has any use but you could always try using it for something.
[[Try use the metal on the door]]
[[Try to pry open the window]]Carefully putting your ear up to the door, you hear footsteps coming towards you.
Holding your breath and not moving an inch you wait for it to stop.
Thankfully the steps stop at the otherside of the door and begin to leave after a moment.
You have second thoughts about how to escape but you see no other option.
[[Open the door anyway]]A dirty tablecloth covers the table.
There is also a what seems to be a scrap piece of metal on the table.
[[Pick up the metal scrap]]
[[Look at table.]]Carefully sneaking over the rickety floorboards, you make it to the window and climb through it, slowly lowering yourself down.
Landing on some thorns and bushes, your fall is cushioned despite a few cuts and scrapes.
You see a winding pathway with a gate at the end and make a run for it, only glancing back once you're outside the property.
You see the man standing at the window you just exited, staring back at you.
You turn and leave, running as fast as you can until you see some kind of civilization.
GOOD ENDING ; ESCAPED UNSCATHED.You awaken in a dark room.
You hold your head as the throbbing pain sets in.
Getting up shakily, you try to open the door in front of you but to no avail.
What do you do now?
[[Look at table.]]
[[Open door.]]
[[Look out window.]]In a desperate attempt to get out the window, you fumble.
You feel a sudden coldness hit your body as you fall forward against the wall.
Looking down you see that he's hit you with his hatchet and your body grows weak.
BAD ENDING ; YOU ARE KILLEDTaking a leap of faith, you dash forward and brace yourself.
Preparing for the worst you close your eyes and hold your breath.
Just as you leap you feel his blade just barely miss you, shallowly cutting your arm.
Landing on some thorns and bushes, your fall is cushioned despite a few cuts and scrapes.
You see a winding pathway with a gate at the end and make a run for it, only glancing back once you're outside the property.
Except... you feel somewhat sick...
GOOD ENDING? INFECTEDUsing the metal scrap, you try to pry open the door but the metal snaps in your hand.
[[Return to table]]
Holding the piece of scrap firmly in your hand, you try to wedge open the window. The metal bends and doesn't budge the window at all.
[[Return to table]]
You place the key back down on the floor and resume looking around the room.
